Stephanie Johnson

Stephanie Johnson has taught creative writing and mentored emerging writers for nearly twenty years. Most recently she co-taught the Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Auckland with Witi Ihimaera, Mike Johnson and Emily Perkins, (2004-2006).

Prior to teaching the Masters, Stephanie taught various stints in playwriting at Unitec Auckland, and script writing, the short story and writing for radio at Continuing Education, Auckland University. She has also conducted independent writing workshops. In the late 1980’s she taught creative writing at Strathfield Evening School in Sydney, Australia.

Stephanie is an associate member of the New Zealand Association of Manuscript Assessors. She welcomes manuscripts (following email correspondence) for assessment, analysis and improvement.

Fee dependent on length and genre of manuscript.
